They are also sturdy and tough to break, so your gecko can climb on them easily without causing any damage. In addition, fake plants are very low maintenance &#8211; all they need is cleaning up on occasion unlike real plants that need pruning, watering, fertilizer, and sometimes repotting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some fake plants that can add benefit to your gecko&#8217;s vivarium:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Bamboo bars<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pothos vines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ficus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>However, since crested geckos are known to chew on plastic material and could injure their mouths, I would not recommend them as well as plants with sharp spines or leaves that can poke your pet lizard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The preferable option is to place live plants in a bioactive vivarium because they provide plenty of benefits such as: hiding spots, food sources, humidity reduction, fresh oxygen production and much more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Toxic plants to avoid<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>These plants are known to be toxic to geckos and reptiles in general.
